This is a great choice for those looking for a simple inexpensive double umbrella stroller that you can easily toss into your trunk for short trips. It comes with two storage bins that hang from the bag on the back of each seat, and cup holders for parents. It's so basic, it could not get your kids through an airport without making noise. However, it can make your journey more comfortable.
Comfortable Seats
The majority of umbrella strollers don't come with many bells and whistles because they're made to do one thing: transport two children from point A to point B. That's why they generally have seats that are comfortable and spacious, but don't have reclining options or all-terrain wheels.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the one exception. It has a great suspension, a massive three-panel canopy that shields children from the sun and a decent amount of storage space in both seats, though not as much as our top choices. It also has the crucial 5-point safety harnesses that are in both seats and peek-a-boo windows in their canopies.
The G-Link does not have the bellybar or snack tray we'd love to see on our top choices. But those features aren’t essential for an umbrella stroller. Like all umbrella strollers, it should be handled with caution to avoid getting your fingers caught in the hinges and mechanisms.
In most double umbrella strollers with seats, they are side-byside. However, there are models with inline seating (one seat in front of the other). Inline models are more easy to maneuver through doorways than side by side models however their seating arrangement could cause your kids to argue over which is the best seat. Our previous test subjects were evenly split on this issue and it's an individual decision.
